White Rock and South Surrey combine to comprise an area known as the Semiahmoo Peninsula. Most residents, whether they live in South Surrey or White Rock, usually say they are from White Rock.
The city of White Rock has a population of 18,000 but the South Surrey populace swells that number to over 55,000.
